Movies are a sort of short created alternate reality, usually intriguing and enjoyable. And once it's over... well we go back to reality, which very often does not seem so pleasing as the imagined world we see on screen.
Of course this restlessness varies, depending on the genre. In a horror movie we certainly feel relieved as we return to our lives; we are, in fact, thankful there's no serial killer/ monster/ revengeful ex trying to kill us.
